London - 18th August 2020 -Egress, the leading provider of human layer security technology has today been announced as a finalist three categories at the prestigious UK IT Industry Awards: 'Security Innovation of the Year', 'Healthcare Project of the Year' alongisde NHS Digital, and 'Best Not for Profit IT Project' alongside Victim Support.
The UK IT Industry Awards are the largest and most well-known event in the technology industry calendar. Owned and operated by BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT and Computing, the awards are the benchmark for outstanding performance throughout the UK computing industry, focusing on the contribution of individuals, projects, organisations and technologies that have excelled in the use, development and deployment of IT in the past 12 months.
In particular, 'Security Innovation of the Year' recognises product development that has delivered measurable benefits in areas such as IT security and data protection, while the 'Healthcare Project of the Year' and 'Not for Profit IT Project' categories celebrate outstanding use of IT to help organisations improve service delivery and meet corporate goals.
By being shortlisted across these three categories, Egress has been recognised for its ability to both develop technology that answers organisations' needs and successfully deliver this to improve processes and data protection for its customers. Egress' work with NHS Digital is improving secure communication and efficiency as part of the NHSmail platform, while work with Victim Support is helping the charity to keep the sensitive data of the victims and witnesses of crime secure, to help them on their journey to closure.
